श्रीगुरु चरन सरोज रज निज मनु मुकुरु सुधारि।
बरनउँ रघुबर बिमल जसु जो दायकु फल चारि॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: श्रीगुरुदेव के चरण-कमलों की रज से अपने मनरूपी दर्पण को पवित्र करके, मैं श्रीरघुवीर के उस निर्मल यश का वर्णन करता हूँ, जो धर्म, अर्थ, काम और मोक्ष—चारों फलों को देने वाला है।
"Cleansing the mirror of my mind with the dust of my Guru's lotus feet, I recount the immaculate fame of Lord Rama, which bestows the four fruits of life (Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha)."
Doha 2
बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके सुमिरौं पवन-कुमार।
बल बुधि बिद्या देहु मोहिं हरहु कलेस बिकार॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: हे पवनपुत्र! अपने को ज्ञान-बुद्धि से हीन जानकर मैं आपका स्मरण करता हूँ। आप मुझे बल, बुद्धि और विद्या प्रदान कीजिए तथा मेरे समस्त क्लेशों और मानसिक विकारों को दूर कीजिए।
"Knowing myself to be devoid of wisdom, I meditate on you, O son of the Wind God! Bestow upon me strength, intellect, and pure knowledge, and remove all my afflictions and blemishes."
Chaupai 3
जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुन सागर।
जय कपीस तिहुँ लोक उजागर॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: हे ज्ञान और गुणों के अथाह समुद्र श्रीहनुमानजी! आपकी जय हो! हे वानरश्रेष्ठ, तीनों लोकों में आपका पावन यश देदीप्यमान है, आपकी जय हो!
"Glory to Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtues! Hail to the prince of monkeys, whose radiant glory illuminates all three worlds!"

राम दूत अतुलित बल धामा।
अंजनि-पुत्र पवनसुत नामा॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: आप श्रीरामजी के परम दूत और अतुलनीय बल के धाम हैं। माता अंजना के प्रिय पुत्र और पवनसुत के पावन नाम से जाने जाते हैं।
"You are Lord Rama's messenger, the abode of incomparable strength, known as Mother Anjana's son and the son of the Wind God."

महाबीर बिक्रम बजरंगी।
कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: आप महापराक्रमी, वज्र के समान सुदृढ़ अंगों वाले हैं। आप कुबुद्धि का निवारण करने वाले तथा सद्बुद्धि और सत्कर्मों के साथी हैं।
"You are a great hero of boundless valor, with limbs firm as a thunderbolt. You dispel wicked thoughts and are the steadfast companion of good wisdom."

कंचन बरन बिराज सुबेसा।
कानन कुंडल कुंचित केसा॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: आपका शरीर सुवर्ण के समान कान्तिमान है, सुंदर वस्त्र सुशोभित हैं। कानों में कुण्डल और घुँघराले केश अत्यधिक मनोहर लगते हैं।
"Golden in complexion, elegantly attired, adorned with lustrous earrings and beautiful curly hair."

हाथ बज्र औ ध्वजा बिराजै।
काँधे मूँज जनेऊ साजै॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: आपके हाथों में वज्र और ध्वजा सुशोभित है, और कंधे पर मूंज का पवित्र जनेऊ शोभायमान है।
"Holding the divine mace and flag in hand, your sacred thread of Munja grass adorns your shoulder."

संकर सुवन केसरीनंदन।
तेज प्रताप महा जग बन्दन॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: आप भगवान शिव के रुद्रावतार तथा महाराज केसरी के पुत्र हैं। आपका महान तेज और पराक्रम समस्त संसार में वन्दनीय है।
"You are the incarnation of Lord Shiva and the joy of King Kesari. Your divine radiance and majesty are revered throughout the universe."

बिद्यावान गुनी अति चातुर।
राम काज करिबे को आतुर॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: आप समस्त विद्याओं में पारंगत, अनुपम गुणों से संपन्न और अत्यंत चतुर हैं। भगवान श्रीराम के कार्यों को सिद्ध करने के लिए सदैव तत्पर रहते हैं।

प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया।
राम लखन सीता मन बसिया॥
गीताप्रेस भावार्थ: आप भगवान श्रीराम की दिव्य कथाओं को सुनने के रसिक हैं। प्रभु श्रीराम, लक्ष्मणजी और माता सीता सदैव आपके हृदय में वास करते हैं।
